Transformational and Visionary Leadership in Occupational Therapy

Shawn Phipps, PhD, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, Chief Quality Officer Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center

Dr. Shawn Phipps is the Chief Quality Officer and Associate Hospital Administrator at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, where he has served for over 21 years as an Occupational Therapy practitioner, clinical specialist, supervisor, manager, director, and chief.  He is the Past Vice President and Board Director of the American Occupational Therapy Association and currently serves as the California Representative to the AOTA Representative Assembly.  Dr. Phipps has also served two consecutive elected terms as the President of the Occupational Therapy Association of California and serves as an Adjunct Professor and member of the Board of Councilors for the University of Southern California Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.  Dr. Phipps was inducted as a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (FAOTA) in 2011, was a recipient of the AOTA Cordelia Myers Writer's Award in 2008, the OTAC Practice Award in 2005, and was the 2014 recipient of the OTAC Award of Excellence and the 2015 recipient of the AOTA Recognition of Achievement for Excellence in Leadership, Management, and Administration.

Conference Parking:

Parking is available in the Vermont Street parking garage directly behind the campus center. Attendees are responsible for parking fees for the garage, which are 12 dollars for 8-9 hours of parking.

Cancellation Policy: 

Written requests for cancellations must be received by email to [email protected] by November 11, 2018, and are subject to a $10 processing fee. Cancellations received after November 11, 2018, will NOT be honored and all registration fees will be forfeited.
