Join the IOTA Mental Health SIS for Perinatal Mental Health for the Whole Family. This course seeks to emphasize the importance of perinatal mental health (PMH) awareness across practice settings. Following an overview of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), the pervasive impact these disorders have on the family and community will be discussed. Attendees will leave the course equipped with tools, strategies, and resources for recognizing individuals in need and filling gaps in the healthcare system around perinatal health. Presenter: Christy Kiesel, MS, OTR/L, PMH-C has over 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist in various settings. She has advanced pelvic and perinatal mental health training and is actively pursuing her post-professional OTD at Indiana University. Currently, she works in acute care, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. She also has a private practice offering professional mentorship, consultation, and mobile and virtual pelvic therapy services.
