IOTA Committees

In addition to districts, we have four standing committees that further the work of IOTA across the state. If you are interested in volunteering on a committee, read about them below and contact the email address provided for more information.

Legislative & Advocacy Committee

The Legislative & Advocacy Committee is responsible for advancing our policy and advocacy priorities. This committee works with our association's lobbyist to introduce bills of interest during the legislative session. The L&A Committee also works with members to identify topics for advocacy work groups, and plans and implements our annual Day at the Capitol event.

Membership committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for growing and maintaining association membership and is composed of several subcommittees including: student subcommittee, fundraising subcommittee, and social media subcommittee.

DEI Committee

The DEI Committee promotes the education and importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of occupational therapy in Indiana. The committee works to assure current state practices align with DEI initiatives. Additionally, the DEI Committee offers continuing education opportunities related to DEI topics and initiatives.

Conference & continuing education committee

The Conference & Continuing Education Committee is responsible for planning and implementing annual statewide conferences as well as year-round continuing education series and opportunities.
